The Citizens Advice service offers practical, up-to-date information and advice on a wide range of topics, including; debt, benefits, housing, legal, discrimination, employment, immigration, consumer and other problems.
Our advice is available to everyone regardless of race, gender, sexuality, age, nationality, disability or religion.
Citizens Advice 1066 provides a general advice service in Hastings by phone (01424 721420), email or appointment.
We have a money advice service offering appointments for advice on complex debt issues and casework support in managing debt (01424 721386).
Our mental health programme provides debt and more general advice to members of the public that are experiencing mental health issues.
We are also part of the St Leonards advice and community hub.
The majority of advisers are trained volunteers, helping the Citizens Advice service to resolve over seven million new problems every year.
We couldn’t survive without our 21,500 fantastic volunteers, but we need around 5,000 more. We’re looking for all sorts of people with different backgrounds and skills to volunteer with us for a uniquely rewarding experience.
About the Citizens Advice service
There are 382 Citizens Advice Bureaux across England and Wales, all of which are members of Citizens Advice.
Together, we are the Citizens Advice service, and we help people resolve their legal, money and other problems by providing free, independent and confidential advice, and by influencing policymakers.
Because every Citizens Advice Bureau is an independent charity we rely on the support of people like you.
With a Citizens Advice Bureau in the community people always have somewhere to turn in times of crisis, but the unmet demand for our service is growing. Can you help us to help more people?
We are supported by Hastings Borough Council and the Legal Services Commission
