Course overview

This course is for those who are new to employment law or who want to refresh their overall knowledge.  It aims to give a broad overview of the subject and identify the key areas of difficulty.

This course deals with:

  • employment contracts and employment ‘status’
  • key statutory rights – protection of wages – working time – minimum wage
  • flexible working
  • discrimination in the workplace
  • handling grievances and disciplinary proceedings
  • dismissal – wrongful – unfair – redundancy
