Course outline
For advisers and support staff who work with people who have mental health problems, this one day course concentrates on DLA and incapacity for work.
Learning objectives
By the end of this course you will be able to:
- identify issues in relation to mental ill health and potential benefits available
- recognise how clients with specific mental health needs may meet the qualifying conditions for DLA/AA
- identify case law relating to mental health and DLA, attendance allowance & ‘incapacity for work’
- identify case law relating to mental health and DLA, attendance allowance & ‘incapacity for work’
- recognise key issues affecting clients with mental health needs and how their advice needs can be met
