  • Means tested and non-means tested benefits
  • Income maximisation
  • Basic eligibility rules for key benefits
  • Which benefit in what circumstances and how some benefits are calculated

Learning Objectives

At the end of the course participants should be able to:

  • Name some benefits that overlap
  • Explain the differnces between DLA and AA
  • Explain why premiums can increase a client's income
  • Name three benefits that are contributory, three non-contributory and three that are means-tested.
