Disability Living Allowance and Attendance Allowance

Course outline

A one day training course designed for advisers and support staff who work with people with disabilities. This course is suitable for those planning to attend the ‘Effective DLA form completion’ course.

Learning objectives

By the end of this course participants will be able to;

  • recognise the different qualifying conditions for DLA and attendance allowance
  • describe how the disability conditions are interpreted by decision makers
  • explain the additional rules that apply to children
  • identify potential entitlement at appropriate levels
