This course covers

  • Tips on completing the IB50 form and assessing a claimants 'score'
  • An in depth look at all the current legislation on IB
  • How to use the legislation and case law effectively
  • Consideration of 'variable' conditions and the effects of pain
  • Common problems around mental health descriptors
  • Tips on preparing for an IB tribunal

Learning objectives

At the end of the course participants should be able to:

  • Identify the legislation which sets out the descriptors
  • Give examples of how the commissionera have interpreted the descriptors
  • Describe a condition so as to show how it fits the descriptors.
  • Know how to structure an appeal against an IB decision
