About our annual conference 2008

The Citizens Advice service annual conference and AGM, took place in York on 23 - 25 September.

The conference attracts more than 1,000 delegates from Citizens Advice Bureaux every year and is a key event in the Citizens Advice service calendar.

Over the course of three days, it provides an excellent opportunity for organisations to promote products and services to bureau managers and trustees, key speakers and exhibitors as well as Citizens Advice staff. In addition, the conference provides a relaxed environment in which to network with others from like-minded organisations.

Speakers at this year’s event included:

  • Sir Bert Massie CBE
  • Irene Lucas
  • Chris Pond
  • Kate Green OBE
  • Trevor Philipps
  • Alan Cooke CBE

Attending conference

This conference is mainly for staff and volunteers in Citizens Advice Bureaux, but some delegates external to the service also attended.
