Citizens Advice response to Which? investigation on energy companies giving wrong advice on cheapest tariffs

Citizens Advice Chief Executive Gillian Guy said:

"Cutting energy bills is a real priority for our clients:last month double the number of people came to us for online advice about fuel costs compared to last year. Too many people are confused, so energy companies have to be more up front about their cheapest tariffs."

  • Anyone in debt or worried about how they will pay their bills can get advice from their local Citizens Advice Bureau. We can help you make sure that you're on the cheapest deal that your supplier provides, look at whether you would be better off switching suppliers, and advise on the help available for making your home more energy efficient.
