Course outline
The current economic climate is raising a range of claims relating to lay-offs, redundancy, contract variations, insolvency and business re-organisations. This course brings together these strands of employment law and looks at them in the context of giving practical advice to clients.
Learning objectives
By the end of this course you will be able to:
- Explain an employee's options when a contract is changed
- Apply the statutory LOST procedure for redundancy
- Comment on the fairness of redundancy procedures
- Advise on rights when an employer becomes insolvent
