Dealing with disciplinary and grievance hearings
Course outline
Employees are often advised to "come back after your hearing" in disciplinary and grievance situations, but this advice risks missing the easiest and quickest route to resolving problems in the workplace. This course will provide you with the skills to help clients make their best case in disciplinary or grievance situations, challenge unfair procedures and appeal unfavourable decisions.
Learning objectives
By the end of this course you will be able to:
- explain the features of fair disciplinary and grievance procedures
- identify evidence which assists the employee's case
- help clients put forward or put together their strongest case at a hearing
- assess grounds of appeal against the employer's decision
