Course outline
This course covers the basic law and practice of unfair dismissal claims. It looks at the basic legal framework of unfair dismissal claims and the common types of claims that arise in this jurisdiction and goes on to cover the practice steps required to make tribunal claims and calculate compensation.
Learning objectives
By the end of this course you will be able to:
- explain how employment tribunals decide if a dismissal is unfair
- identify potential unfairness in dismissal situations
- draft an employment tribunal claim for an unfair dismissal claim
- calculate a simple schedule of loss in an unfair dismissal case
