What can your training courses offer me?

This training programme is open to all advisers . We ensure that learning includes practical examples and case studies that are highly relevant and can be applied as soon as you return to your workplace. Our trainers are experts in their own fields as well as experts at developing others. We continually evaluate our tutors to ensure that they deliver training of a consistently high standard that is highly interactive, stimulating and enjoyable! We offer training at different levels from introductory to advanced.

What do previous attendees of adviser training courses say about your training?

"I have been on several courses run by Citizens Advice and have always found the tutors give a thorough and informative session... I would highly recommend the courses that Citizens Advice have on offer and look forward to continuing my learning and development with future courses that Citizens Advice provide"

Diana Watmuff, Holmewood Advice Service

"I found the course useful as it reconfirmed some of my existing knowledge, as well as learning some new areas. The tutor was quite engaging and very attentive. The course materials were well presented and I feel that I am able to use a point of reference when required ".

Rosemary Emodi, Community Advice Project in London

"Tax credits are so complicated. I felt the course was very good and very helpful, especially the overpayment side of things. It was good to go through stage by stage. The exercises were very good and the course material was all very helpful, I still use this within my current role specifically to refer to when dealing with technical issues, I feel I can rely on the documents provided."

Vandana Rawal, Hounslow Race & Equalities Council, following attendance on Tax Credits - the tricky bits course, October 2009

Who are the courses for?

Every year we train over 1000 solicitors, advisers and professionals from a wide range of organisations, many of whom tell us that they would recommend us to a colleague. Which course you attend will depend on your own experience and needs, and those of your staff and colleagues.
