Course outline
Feeling overwhelmed and confused by impending welfare reform? Unsure how these changes will affect your clients? This course is designed to help advisers with experience of the benefits system to understand the impact of proposed benefit changes.
Learning objectives
By the end of the course you will be able to:
- describe planned changes of the Welfare Reform Bill/Act, including how and when changes are due to occur
- explain how Universal Credit is expected to work
- describe key aspects of Personal Independence Payments
- recognise other proposed benefit changes, including localisation of council tax benefit and social fund payments
