Help campaign against cuts to contribution-based ESA

The Comprehensive Spending Review announced that from April 2012 there will be a 12-month limit on contribution based Employment and Support Allowance (ESA) for those in the work-related activity group. As a result, anyone who is on ESA and in this group, and who has a partner that earns more than £150 a week, or has savings of over £16,000 will have their benefit withdrawn after one year. This means that despite being found to be unfit for work, and despite having paid national insurance contributions throughout their lives, many people will find themselves left without any support from the Government during their time of need.
We are calling on the Government to withdraw this unfair policy. If you are on contributions-based ESA, in the work-related activity group, and think that you may have your benefit withdrawn as a result of this proposal, tell us how this will affect you and your family.
