The Citizens Advice service helps people resolve their legal, money and other problems by providing free, independent and confidential advice, and by influencing policymakers.

Every Citizens Advice Bureau is a registered charity reliant on trained volunteers and funds to provide these vital services for local communities.

Fuel poverty report

In September 2007 the Group launched a report on fuel poverty, in conjunction with the All Party Parliamentary Group on Poverty. The report calls on the Government to take urgent steps to tackle rising prices and the poor practices of some suppliers to help ensure that the target of eradicating fuel poverty among vulnerable groups by 2010 is met:
