About us

Denbighshire Citizens Advice Bureau provides an advice and information service across Denbighshire. We have bureaux offices in Rhyl, Denbigh and Ruthin, an Extended Advice Service in Llangollen, outreach services in Corwen, Prestatyn and Ysbyty Glan Clwyd Psychiatric unit and we offer representation in Rhyl and Mold County Courts for repossession. We also provide specialist welfare benefits and debt advice.

Our debt survey:

The survey should be viewed in the context of the prevailing economic backdrop in Denbighshire which includes:

  • 3 Denbighshire local authority wards in Rhyl rank in the top 12 most deprived wards in Wales
  • Denbighshire is the highest ranking local authority in the UK for Debt Relief Orders approved
  • Denbighshire is the second highest local authority in the UK for total individual insolvency.

Volunteer

The majority of advisers are trained volunteers, helping the Citizens Advice service to resolve over seven million new problems every year.

Our service couldn’t survive without our 21,500 fantastic volunteers, but we need around 5,000 more. We’re looking for all sorts of people with different backgrounds and skills to volunteer with us for a uniquely rewarding experience.

About the Citizens Advice service

There are 338 Citizens Advice Bureaux across England and Wales, all of which are members of Citizens Advice.

Together, we are the Citizens Advice service, and we help people resolve their legal, money and other problems by providing free, independent and confidential advice, and by influencing policymakers.

Because every Citizens Advice Bureau is an independent charity we rely on the support of people like you.
