This searchable spreadsheet can be used to find out what financial capability work is being delivered by some 162 Citizens Advice Bureaux across England and Wales.

It shows what client groups they are reaching and how they are delivering the service. It also lists key bureau contacts for financial capability in case you would like to work with them or to know more about what they are doing.

Getting started with financial capability work

This starter pack has been written to help bureaux and other agencies get started in financial capability. It’s divided into 10 short briefings on topics like how to market a new service and how to access training materials. It has been written with the advice sector in mind, but will also be of use to a wide range of other agencies.

Managing money, helping people with debt

This publication was jointly authored by Citizens Advice and the Local Government Association (LGA). It includes case studies of bureaux and local authorities working together on financial capability training, debt advice, rent arrears reduction, improvements to debt recovery and much more. It showcases some of the innovative work that is going on locally to make local authorities aware of the range of activities that bureaux are engaged in.

Working with schools on financial capability: a guide for Citizens Advice Bureaux

Citizens Advice and pfeg (personal finance education group) worked together on a research project to identify how schools and bureaux collaborate to deliver financial capability. The project made recommendations about good practice and generated a comprehensive good practice guide. The guide provides Citizens Advice Bureaux and similar agencies with practical tips and guidance on how to engage and work effectively with schools.
