At a local level, Citizens Advice Bureaux help MPs and assembly members to understand the problems that their constituents are facing, and find practical solutions for individual cases.
Based on client evidence, our briefings help MPs, peers and assembly members understand the impact of proposed legislation and allow them to adopt an informed position in parliamentary debates.

We organise two all party parliamentary groups (APPGs): one on Citizens Advice and one on Debt and personal finance. These give us another forum for raising issues of concern with interested parliamentarians.
In our last parliamentarian of the year award, we recognised Yvonne Fovargue for her determination and success in keeping the issues which impact on the Citizens Advice service and our clients high on the political agenda.
