Citizens Advice

The Citizens Advice service helps people resolve their legal, money and other problems by providing free, independent and confidential advice, and by influencing policymakers.

Every Citizens Advice Bureau is a registered charity reliant on trained volunteers and funds to provide these vital services for local communities.

Support us

Every year the Citizens Advice services touches around 2 million lives, helping those people to deal with 6 million problems. In fact nearly half the population has used a Citizens Advice Bureau at some stage.

We use two approaches to help people resolve their issues: we offer free, high quality, independent advice, and we initiate campaigns for policy change.

Watch how we helped Chris keep hold of his home and his dog after redundancy led to mounting debts.

With a Citizens Advice Bureau in the community, people always have somewhere to turn in a time of crisis, but the unmet demand for our services is growing.

Because every Citizens Advice Bureau is an independent charity, we rely on the support of people like you to ensure that we’re ready with advice when we’re needed.

Can you help us to help more people like Chris, Sam, Veejay and Clive?
