Why volunteer with a CAB?

volunteerVolunteering with a CAB is a great way to pick up skills, make friends and feel part of an enthusiastic team. Last year the Citizens Advice service helped 2.1 million people with 7.1 million problems. But it’s not just worthwhile, volunteering can also be fantastic fun and hugely rewarding.

What do volunteers do?

volunteerCitizens Advice is the UK’s largest advice charity. Out of the 28,500 people who work for the service, 21,500 of them are volunteers and we wouldn’t be here for our clients without them. They take on a range of essential roles from giving advice to fundraising, IT, administration, publicity, campaigning and trusteeship.

Who volunteers?

volunteerOur guiding principles are to ‘value diversity, promote equality and challenge discrimination’. We know that it’s only by having diverse staff and volunteers that we can do these things properly.
