Adviser and client

Citizens Advice Slough is open for drop-in on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday mornings. We offer a short diagnostic assessment interview. Appointments are made once an adviser understands your needs. Telephone advice is available on Monday and Friday afternoons and Wednesday morning and afternoon.

We have eight paid members of staff, including a welfare benefits specialist and a Gypsy and Traveller caseworker. We have 28 volunteers. We have four interview rooms and access for differently abled clients and workers. We also have a kiosk offering internet access to our Adviceguide website and other useful websites.

Get advice

The Citizens Advice service offers practical, up-to-date information and advice on a wide range of topics, including; debt, benefits, housing, legal, discrimination, employment, immigration, consumer and other problems.

Our advice is available to everyone regardless of race, gender, sexuality, age, nationality, disability or religion.

Volunteer

The majority of advisers are trained volunteers, helping the Citizens Advice service to resolve over 6 million new problems every year.

We couldn’t survive without our 21,000 fantastic volunteers, but we need around 5,000 more. We’re looking for all sorts of people with different backgrounds and skills to volunteer with us for a uniquely rewarding experience.

Citizens Advice service

There are 416 Citizens Advice Bureaux across England and Wales, all of which are members of Citizens Advice.

Together, we are the Citizens Advice service, and we help people resolve their legal, money and other problems by providing free, independent and confidential advice, and by influencing policymakers.
