New Director of Wales in post

Rebecca Woolley has started in her new role as Director of Citizens Advice Cymru, leading the development of Citizens Advice services across Wales as well as its policy work.

She replaces Fran Targett who retired from the post in mid January. Fran has been associated with the organisation since 1978 when she started as a volunteer adviser.

Rebecca was previously Director in Wales for Action on Hearing Loss, having worked there for the past 8 years. Prior to working in the third sector, her background is in NHS leadership and management, with experience of service development and delivery in the communities around the South Wales valleys.

Rebecca started in the role last week.

Cyfarwyddwr Newydd Cymru wrth y llyw

Mae Rebecca Woolley wedi dechrau ar ei swydd newydd fel Cyfarwyddwr Cyngor ar Bopeth Cymru, gan arwain y gwaith o ddatblygu gwasanaethau Cyngor ar Bopeth ledled Cymru, a gwaith polisi’r sefydliad. Mae hi’n olynu Fran Targett a ymddeolodd yng nghanol mis Ionawr. Mae Fran wedi cael cysylltiad â’r sefydliad ers 1978 pan ddechreuodd wirfoddoli fel cynghorydd.

Cyn ymgymryd â’i swydd newydd, Rebecca oedd Cyfarwyddwr Action on Hearing Loss Cymru, a bu’n gweithio i’r sefydliad hwnnw am 8 mlynedd. Cyn gweithio yn y trydydd sector, bu’n gweithio ym maes arweinyddiaeth a rheoli yn y GIG, ac mae ganddi brofiad o ddatblygu a darparu gwasanaethau yng nghymunedau’r Cymoedd.

Dechreuodd Rebecca ei swydd newydd wythnos diwethaf.

Meddai Rebecca Woolley, Cyfarwyddwr newydd Cyngor ar Bopeth Cymru:

“Dyma adeg hynod bwysig i bobl dderbyn gwybodaeth a chyngor o ansawdd uchel.

“Mae Cyngor ar Bopeth Cymru yn gwneud cyfraniad allweddol at gynorthwyo pobl gyda’r heriau anodd sy’n eu hwynebu o ddydd i ddydd. Rwy’n edrych ymlaen at weithio gyda’n rhwydwaith eang o randdeiliaid er mwyn parhau i ddatblygu ein gwaith yng Nghymru.”
