Big Energy Saving Week
The next Big Energy Saving Week (BESW) campaign starts on Monday 21 January 2019.
In its eighth year, our national campaign helps people reduce their energy bills and and get all the financial support they are entitled to. Campaigners across the country will be holding events with the public and frontline workers encouraging people to ‘Check, Switch, Save’.
We’ll be raising awareness of how to switch energy supplier or tariff to get the best deal, access discounts and grants, and make homes energy efficient. We’ll also be helping people to find the support they need.
Anyone is welcome to be a partner and hold events during Big Energy Saving Week.
You’ll be able to order resources from December, including flyers, posters and freebies. These will also be available to download online.
Funding opportunities are also available and now open for applications. Read our guidance before applying for:
Gold funding of £4000. Gold partners need to hold at least 5 public events during BESW. (We will aim to choose at least one Gold Partner in each region).
Silver funding of £1000. Silver partners need to hold at least 2 public events during BESW.
Bronze funding of £500. Bronze partners need to hold at least 1 public event during BESW.
Partners will also be expected to do additional activity to meet the funding requirements. See our guidance for full details.
