EU Citizens Rights Service
Welcome to our EU Citizens Rights Service, funded by the Welsh Government, where individuals and families resident in Wales can have access to free, impartial and confidential information, guidance, and advice on settled status applications and access to in-depth, specialist help on social welfare issues.
This service supports EU, EEA and Swiss citizens with settled, pre settled status applications and also offers access to wider advice services, including specialist advice.
You can contact us if you need help with:
- Settled status applications
- Pre-settled status applications
- Problems at work, including discrimination and exploitation
To speak to an adviser or to book an appointment with our EU Citizens Rights team, please call 0300 3309 059 between 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
If you’re not able to speak to someone immediately, you can leave a message and an adviser will contact you as soon as they’re free. You should hear back from someone within 2 working days.
Our service ensures access to interpretation support where required, and will respect your chosen method, including utilising existing service staff/volunteers who speak your preferred language, a friend or family member or Language Line.
We don’t charge for calls to the helpline. Your service provider could charge you for your call, but it should be free if either:
- your contract includes all calls to landlines
- you’re within your free minutes allowance for calls to landlines
You might be charged if your contract doesn’t include all calls to landlines or you’ve used all your free minutes. For example, a 10 minute call could cost:
- £1.73 from a BT landline - find out more about BT call charges
- £3.50 if you’re an EE pay as you go customer - find out more about EE call charges
Check your supplier’s website to find out what you’ll be charged.
If you’re finding it difficult to access your local service and have a number of friends, colleagues or family members who could use our help, we may be able to arrange an advice session near you. Contact us on 0300 3309 059 to arrange.
We may also be able to arrange video calls for more convenience and ‘out of hours’ support if it’s not possible for you to contact us during our normal opening hours. Please let us know by calling the helpline on 0300 3309 059.
