The right to buy in Scotland ended on 1 August 2016. If you had the right to buy your home, you could exercise your right to buy if the application was made before 1 August 2016. The purchase does not need to be completed before this date. The Scottish Government website has information on the right to buy, including information on what ending right to buy means for tenants, at www.gov.scot.
