Volunteer roles for you...

Media and publicity

Help to publicise the important work that your local Citizens Advice does. This may be through forming links with the local media, writing press releases, developing website and social media channels or producing a regular newsletter.

Fundraiser

Assist your local Citizens Advice by identifying possible sources of funding in the community. This may include organising or supporting community fundraising projects, drafting funding applications and engaging with current supporters.

Researcher

Support your local Citizens Advice by helping them to access and analyse information that will help them to improve their services. This could include designing satisfaction surveys for clients and staff, analysing data from relevant internal and external sources or writing reports.

Trustee

Use your experience and skills to benefit your local Citizens Advice trustee board. This may involve helping to shape strategy, giving direction, being involved in staff recruitment, managing finances and ensuring the office complies with the law.

Campaigns worker

Use evidence that Citizens Advice gets from our clients to help bring about changes in local and national policies and services. This might involve using data to identify and raise relevant local issues, highlighting Citizens Advice campaigns in the local media or working with other local Citizens Advice and organisations on wider campaigns.

Events organiser

Help your local Citizens Advice to organise and hold events such as open days, roadshows and fundraisers. You may be asked to devise publicity plans, research venues, plan agendas, help out on-the-day or monitor the success of any events held.

Volunteer recruitment worker

Recruit volunteers to help out at your local Citizens Advice by running recruitment campaigns and matching people's skills, availability and aptitude to find the perfect volunteer role for them.
