Citizens Advice wrote to Ofgem regarding their recent decision document on supplier access to consumer smart meter data for settlement and forecasting purposes. We support the decision not to mandate collection of half-hourly smart meter data but are concerned by the ‘minded-to’ position of removing existing consumer opt-outs that currently allow consumers to opt-out beyond giving a meter read every day.
