Blaenoriaethau ar gyfer y Pwyllgor Cydraddoldeb, Llywodraeth Leol a Cymunedau [ 110 kb]

Citizens Advice Cymru welcomed the opportunity to help inform the medium to longer term work programme for the Equalities, Local Government and Communities Committee of the National Assembly for Wales during the 5th Assembly.

We asked the Committee considered the following as part of their work programme:

  • how the nature of employment in Wales contributes to in-work poverty and what Welsh Government can do to mitigate against this

  • the challenges and impact that personal independence payments (PIP) pose for Wales and what can be done to mitigate against this

  • current and future devolution of welfare benefits

  • the role of information, advice and guidance in supporting individual people to access their correct entitlements and enable the prevention of adverse outcomes

  • implementation, success and enforcement of registration and licensing within private rented sector under Part 1 of the Housing (Wales) Act 2014

  • the state and quality of housing stock in Wales

  • how the Welsh Government can achieve their strategic equality objectives and support others to strive to make Wales fairer

Mae Cyngor ar Bopeth Cymru yn croesawu’r cyfle i helpu i lywio rhaglen waith tymor canolig i dymor hwy ar gyfer Pwyllgor Cydraddoldeb, Llywodraeth Leol a Chymunedau Cynulliad Cenedlaethol Cymru yn ystod y 5ed Cynulliad.

Gofynnwn i’r Pwyllgor ystyried y canlynol fel rhan o’i raglen waith:

  • sut mae natur cyflogaeth yng Nghymru yn cyfrannu at dlodi mewn gwaith a’r hyn y gall Llywodraeth Cymru ei wneud i liniaru hyn

  • heriau ac effaith taliadau annibyniaeth personol (PIP) i Gymru a’r hyn y gellir ei wneud i liniaru hyn

  • datganoli budd-daliadau lles heddiw ac yn y dyfodol

  • rôl gwybodaeth, cyngor ac arweiniad o ran cefnogi pobl unigol i gael mynediad at eu hawliau cywir a hwyluso atal canlyniadau niweidiol

  • Gweithrediad, llwyddiant a gorfodaeth cofrestru a thrwyddedu o fewn y sector rhentu preifat o dan Ran 1 Deddf Tai (Cymru) 2014

  • cyflwr ac ansawdd y stoc dai yng Nghymru

  • sut gall Llywodraeth Cymru gyflawni ei hamcanion cydraddoldeb strategol a chefnogi eraill i ymdrechu i wneud Cymru’n decach
