Am y rôl
Citizens Advice North East Kent is looking for a Macmillan Money and More Caseworker to deliver high quality, holistic, and efficient advice to clients across Kent affected by cancer. The work will involve casework in relation to welfare benefits and will deliver a holistic service assessing and referring matters in relation to employment, housing, debt prevention and related areas. The post is based at Canterbury but can involve working from home, depending on benefits experience and knowledge, or from our offices across Canterbury District, Thanet or Swale.
The post holder will work in partnership with all key stakeholders including other local Citizens Advice, Macmillan Cancer Support, NHS Hospitals Trusts across Kent, local Hospices and other key organisations.
You should have a good English and Maths, have a strong attention to detail and be committed to helping individuals in need. Experience of giving welfare benefits advice is essential. You must be able to work with people affected by cancer and adhere to our equality policies.
