Join Us in Making a Real Difference in Oxfordshire!

Citizens Advice Oxfordshire is looking for a motivated, compassionate, and energetic individual to step into a truly rewarding role in our Trussell Trust Food Bank Project. Based primarily in our Banbury and Bicester food bank locations, you’ll be at the heart of supporting people in your community when they need it most.

We are a fast-paced, client-focused and dynamic service with a strong track record of delivering high-quality advice face-to-face, over the phone and online. As the cost of living continues to rise, our communities are facing unprecedented challenges; from soaring energy bills to increasing pressure on everyday household budgets. More people than ever are finding themselves in financial difficulty, and your work will play a crucial part in helping them regain control.

In this role, you’ll support clients with debt, benefits, and income maximisation, helping them understand their options and make informed decisions. You’ll work as part of a dedicated team of caseworkers, using your curiosity and problem-solving skills to explore issues in depth, and empowering your clients to take practical steps to solve their problems.

It’s a varied and sometimes demanding role, so resilience, empathy, initiative and strong people skills are all essential. You’ll make referrals for additional support when needed and ensure casework is accurate, timely and aligned with our quality standards.

Why join us?

This is a fantastic opportunity to develop both personally and professionally. We offer comprehensive training, including national e-learning, classroom sessions, internal training and job shadowing - so while previous experience is helpful, it’s certainly not essential. What matters most is your commitment to helping others and your drive to learn.

If you’re passionate about supporting people through difficult times and want to grow your skills within a supportive, mission-driven team, we’d love to hear from you.

This is Fixed term until 31 March 2027. Potential to extend subject to funding.
