Vacancy at Chapeltown Citizens Advice

Based in an inner city multi-racial area of Leeds, Chapeltown Citizens Advice is an independent charity with 20 paid staff and 35 volunteers that provides a comprehensive advice service from its main office and outreaches. We are a busy, client focused and dynamic service with a track record of delivering high quality advice.

We are recruiting an Training and Development manager

Key responsibilities within this role will include:

● Along with two Advice first aid / community advice trainers (1.4 fte) work with local infrastructure organisations to create and deliver advice first aid training for local VCSE organisations.

● Support with new project mobilisation.

● Lead recruitment and onboarding of new volunteers into the organisation & developing training plans alongside line managers.

● Supporting line managers and teams with identified areas of development required.

● Use key insights advice trends, client feedback etc) to create and deliver focused training across a range of delivery methods to ensure accessibility,

● Support the organisation to comply with accreditation requirements (AQS, SQM, QAA and others), ensuring all CPD requirements are met and mandatory training is completed.

You will be part of the Management Leadership Team along with two other managers responsible for their areas of advice and support delivery.

About you:

● Excellent interpersonal skills to engage with a diverse range of colleagues and stakeholders.

● Strong organisational skills with the ability to adapt, prioritise deadlines and competing tasks in a

fast-paced environment.

● A genuine passion for supporting others to develop.

● Experience in training and developing staff and/ or volunteers OR experience as an adviser.

Hours: 36.25 full time

Location: Chapeltown, Leeds

Contract: Permanent

Salary: £30,000
