Am y rôl
Make a real impact. Help prevent homelessness. Shape a growing legal service for Kent.
North & West Kent Citizens Advice and Kent Law Centre is expanding its specialist housing legal team — and we’re looking for a committed Housing Solicitor who shares our passion for social justice.
This is an exciting moment to join us. We support over 19,000 clients each year across North and West Kent, and our new Law Centre status (November 2025) marks the beginning of an ambitious journey to strengthen free, high quality legal advice in our communities.
If you’re motivated, client focused and ready for a role where you can genuinely change lives, we’d love to hear from you.

About the role
As a Housing Solicitor, you will:
• Provide specialist housing law advice and casework, including possession proceedings, homelessness appeals, counterclaims, and disrepair.
• Deliver services under our Legal Aid contracts.
• Represent clients at all stages of a case, including court advocacy where appropriate.
• Manage your own varied caseload while meeting Legal Aid billing targets.
• Support and, where appropriate, supervise junior colleagues within the housing advice team.
• Play a key role in shaping and developing our housing legal aid provision as part of the new Kent Law Centre.
• Contribute to research, campaigns and wider organisational goals.
