Adviser - Financial Resilience Project

Key Information

Salary: £28,163 - £29,093 per year FTE (£16,898 - £17,456 actual)

Hours: 21 hours per week (0.6 FTE)

Contract: Fixed term to 30 June 2026 (extension possible, subject to funding)

Holiday: 25 days plus Public Holidays (pro rata)

Location: Citizens Advice Tadley office locations across Basingstoke and Deane

Summary

This role is part of our new Financial Resilience project, designed to help empower individuals to manage their money more effectively, and build financial resilience for when times get tough. The adviser will be focused on helping individuals to:

- build and utilise a household budget

- maximise their income

- minimise their expenditure

- understand different types of bank account

- learn about options for saving and borrowing

- know the signs of scams, fraud or financial abuse

The successful applicant will need to undergo a DBS check, and have the ability to travel across the whole of the Basingstoke & Deane Borough. The adviser's time will be split equally between one-to-one support and group sessions, with a focus on reaching new people who haven’t sought advice before and may be at risk of financial crisis in the future.
