Make a Difference in Shropshire
Citizens Advice Shropshire is seeking a passionate and strategic Research & Campaigns Officer to lead evidence-based initiatives that tackle the root causes of social injustice. This is a unique opportunity to influence policy, shape services, and amplify the voices of our clients across the county.
About the Role
You’ll lead research projects and campaigns on critical issues such as:
• Cost of living
• Debt and housing
• Fuel and food poverty
• Access to local services
You’ll also coordinate the Shropshire Food Poverty Alliance (SFPA), engaging with key stakeholders and partners, providing infrastructure support to the food banks in Shropshire and maintaining the SFPA & Shropshire Larder website.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and deliver impactful research and policy analysis
• Lead campaigns and stakeholder engagement, including media relations
• Coordinate a team of volunteers and staff engaged in Research & Campaigns
• Monitor trends and identify emerging issues affecting clients
• Represent Citizens Advice Shropshire at events and forums
• Coordination of SFPA
• Delivery of our Justice, Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Strategy
What We’re Looking For
• A strong understanding of social justice, equality, diversity and inclusion
• Excellent research, analytical, and communication skills
• Experience in campaign planning and stakeholder engagement
• Ability to manage projects and lead teams
• Proficiency in IT and social media
• Commitment to Citizens Advice values and continuous learning
