About the role
Citizens Advice Hounslow is a well-established charity operating in the London Borough of Hounslow, supporting over 15,000 clients a year. We have an exciting new opportunity for a Housing Caseworker. The purpose of this role is to prevent homelessness, improve tenant wellbeing and foster a more secure and sustainable housing situation for vulnerable individuals and families in the private rental sector. This position will involve travel between outreaches across the London Borough of Hounslow.
Role Purpose
- To provide independent homelessness prevention advice, support and casework on issues in privately rented accommodation e.g. possession notices, disrepair and illegal evictions etc.
- Ensure high quality of advice is maintained at all times
- Promote research & campaign work in accordance with the aims and principles of Citizens Advice
- Carry out any other reasonable duties as and when required to meet service needs
