About the role
Salary: £11,788.00 per annum, £23,576.00 (full time equivalent)
Hours: 18.5 per week
Base location: Leicester City Branch (Hybrid*)
Contract: temporary (maternity cover) for up to 12 months
*Your primary residence must be in England or Wales. For contractual purposes, "home" is the address listed on your job application. Any changes to this address, whether permanent or temporary, must be approved in advance by your line manager. This role is primarily home based, however, some travel may be required for meetings and team activity. You will be informed in advance regarding any travel requirements. This includes but is not limited to meetings held quarterly or once in six months without any specific time set. Please be advised that we’re not considering fully remote posts for this role.

About the role:
Are you an efficient organiser with a talent for IT, an eye for detail and a friendly phone manner that puts people at ease? If this sounds like you, then perhaps you could be the new lynchpin of our team! This is much more than your average admin role – with a chance to learn a whole host of new skills that will open doors across our entire service.
You’ll work hand-in-hand with our City Supervisors to keep our service running like clockwork. You’ll be the go-to person for both staff and volunteers, ensuring everyone has the administrative support they need. You’ll be based at our Leicester branch with flexibility to work from home* regularly if that suits you.
What we need you to do:
-Respond to enquiries, schedule client appointments, and refer clients to other services as needed.
-Handle incoming and outgoing mail, maintain accurate client data records on our case management system, and ensure all tasks are completed promptly.
-Assist our team with administrative tasks, help prepare statistics -and reports, take minutes at meetings, and produce documents.
Manage diaries, order supplies, and contribute to keeping our resources up-to-date.
What you’ll bring:
-You’re comfortable with IT and quick to learn new systems. Experience with Google Workspace would be a plus.
-You build relationships easily and communicate effectively, whether in person, over the phone, or through email.
-You can juggle multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
-You’re enthusiastic, proactive and always ready to lend a hand.
