The role:

The Head of Finance / Senior Finance Manager is a key role within our organisation, taking ownership for overseeing the finances of the organisation. We are looking for an experienced accountant (qualified/qualified by experience/qualified AAT) who is keen to use their skills and experience in a senior accounting role for the charity.

The role will include the following responsibilities:

• Oversee one member of staff fulfilling bookkeeping functions and provide coverage when necessary.

• Work with the CEO and Treasurer (a Trustee) to oversee the finances of the charity.

• Manage and improve the finance processes and systems to reduce risk.

• Prepare reports, budgets and forecasts for the management team and Board of Trustees and external funders.

• Manage the annual audit process and preparation of the year end accounts.
