About the role
Make a Real Difference in Your Community
We are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Community Outreach Officers to deliver assertive outreach activities across community-based settings within your local area.
This role is focused on supporting financial resilience, helping individuals access information, tools, and resources that can improve their financial wellbeing. You will engage directly with members of the community, promoting income maximisation support, benefit entitlement checks, budgeting tools, money-saving advice, and other practical guidance.
As a confident and approachable communicator, you will be skilled at initiating conversations and building positive relationships, ensuring people feel comfortable engaging with the support available. You will identify individual needs and, where more complex advice is required, arrange appointments with specialist advisers.
Working independently across a variety of community locations, you will build and maintain strong partnerships with local organisations and stakeholders, helping to extend the reach and impact of the service.
About You
You will:
Be a confident and engaging communicator with the ability to build rapport quickly.
Have an inquisitive and proactive approach to supporting people.
Be comfortable working autonomously in community settings.
Have experience of customer engagement or community outreach in a range of environments.
Be able to develop trusted relationships with partner organisations and stakeholders.
Demonstrate the ability to learn new information quickly and confidently identify when specialist advice is required.
Be passionate about supporting individuals to improve their financial wellbeing and access the support available to them.
