The Renting Homes (Wales) Act 2016 will introduce new ‘fitness for human habitation’ regulations in the coming years for the rental sector in Wales setting out the minimum standards people can expect from their rented properties.
At focus groups with a cross-section of PRS tenants we listened to their views about the state of their current home, their experience of getting repair work done and asked tenants what they would like to see the Welsh Government include in the fitness for human habitation standards.
Bydd Deddf Rhentu Cartrefi (Cymru) 2016 yn cyflwyno rheoliadau ‘ffit i bobl fyw’ newydd dros y blynyddoedd nesaf yn y sector rhentu yng Nghymru. Bydd y rheoliadau hyn yn pennu’r safonau gofynnol y gall pobl eu disgwyl o’u heiddo rhent.
Mewn grwpiau ffocws gyda chroestoriad o denantiaid y sector rhentu preifat, buom yn gwrando ar eu sylwadau am gyflwr eu cartrefi presennol, eu profiad o gael gwaith trwsio wedi’i wneud a gofynnwyd iddynt beth yr hoffent i Lywodraeth Cymru ei gynnwys yn y safonau ffit i bobl fyw.
