Citizens Advice are pleased to respond to this consultation. The CMA’s analysis has identified a lack of competition for prepayment meter (PPM) customers. Citizens Advice and our predecessor bodies have been raising concerns about the prepay market for a number of years: limited progress has been made towards tackling the fundamental problems in these markets, and we welcome the attention drawn to these issues by the CMA.
