Early consumer experiences of smart meters 2018
The smart meter rollout is a multibillion pound programme. Since the beginning, Citizens Advice and its predecessors have been working to keep consumers at the heart of it.
In 2016, we commissioned some research into the early consumer experiences of smart meters. 2 years and 7 million smart meters later, we were keen to see what progress had been made with the customer journey.
This research explores what experiences consumers have when deciding to have a smart meter installed, their satisfaction during the installation process and post installation experiences.
