Consumers are 'right to be furious' over energy profits

13 April 2013

Citizens Advice warns that increasing profits for energy companies are bad news for consumers, with many people already struggling under the burden of sky-high bills.

Gillian Guy, chief executive of Citizens Advice said:

"Consumers are right to be furious that profits are going up as they struggle to pay higher and higher bills. The big six energy companies need to remember that their huge profits come at the expense of their customers, many of whom face a choice between heating and eating."
