About the role
We’re an ambitious charity determined to deliver quality services to our communities. Each year we improve the lives of tens of thousands of local people from across Stockport, Oldham, Rochdale and Trafford by sharing information and offering advice, support and guidance.
In the role of Community Adviser, you will be working in the communities team, primarily based in Stockport but with some travel to other services across, Oldham, Rochdale and Trafford. You'll need experience interviewing clients using sensitive listening and questioning skills to get to the root of issues and empower clients, while maintaining structure and control of meetings. Ideally, you'll have demonstrable understanding and knowledge of Social Welfare Law advice in one of the following areas: Welfare Benefits, Money, Energy, Housing, or Immigration.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to make a difference to people's lives, supporting some of the most vulnerable people in society - helping them find a way forward.
We’re Disability Confident
Disability Confident is a government scheme that supports employers to improve how they recruit, retain, and develop disabled people.
