Big Energy Saving Winter is a national campaign which runs from November to the end of January to help people cut their energy bills and get the financial support they are entitled to. We all have the power to save energy, money and the environment through everyday actions. Simple changes such as switching energy supplier or tariff, accessing discounts or grants, and making homes more energy-efficient can make a big difference.

This year it's especially important that we work together to help make sure people are not paying too much for their energy and have all the information they need to keep warm this winter. This is why we have chosen to run the campaign over 3 months rather than a single week in January. The campaign will focus on three key themes across the winter:
- November - Check you’re not paying too much on your energy bill, and check if you’re eligible for discounts, grants or support
- December - Switch energy tariff or supplier to get the best deal
- January - Save money by getting energy efficient
If you want to join the campaign you can promote the campaign messages on social media and use our resources to reach more people than ever, helping them save money and energy this winter.
You can find campaign resources on the Big Energy Saving Winter website to help you run a digital campaign and raise awareness of how people can save money on their energy bills. This includes social media packs for each campaign phase and printable posters and leaflets.
Citizens Advice and the Energy Saving Trust run Big Energy Saving Winter in collaboration with the Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy and with the support of numerous organisations, charities and companies.
Citizens Advice also runs the Big Energy Saving Network.
