Macmillan Welfare Benefits Adviser

Salary: £23,945 rata £9,060 p.a actual plus 6% pension contribution after 3 months

Hours: 14 hours per week – days and working pattern flexible and by agreement with successful candidate.

Annual leave: 33 days (inclusive of bank holidays), pro rata

Duration: Fixed Term to 31st December 2018 (possibility of extension subject to funding availability)

To provide a welfare benefits advice service to people affected by cancer, with the aim of maximising their income. The post holder will undertake casework, assisting clients to access their entitlements to welfare benefits and other sources of financial help.

The service will be delivered in settings appropriate to the client group including outreaches in health settings.

You will have an empathy and commitment to work within the aims, principles and policies of the Citizens Advice service and can identify with the Wiltshire Citizens Advice values that we are always fair, responsible and professional.
