National Consumer Campaign

Our National Consumer Campaign is an annual campaign which aims to raise people's awareness of specific consumer issues, and provide support and advice for those who need it. The 2022 campaign took place on 14 - 20 November 2022 and our 2023/2024 campaign is going to take place over two week long periods - the first ran between 16 - 22 October, with the second to follow on 29 January - 4 February 2024.

In 2022, our National Consumer Campaign focused on raising awareness of how to shop online safely, what to look out for and what to do if things go wrong. During the week we shared advice to give people the knowledge and confidence they need to spend their money wisely, educating them on their rights, particularly when shopping from online marketplaces and secondhand.

Our October 2023 campaign ran between 16 -22 October and advised consumers of their rights and how to protect themselves in the lead up to Black Friday and Cyber Monday, when looking for deals or shopping in the lead up to the festive season.

Our January 2024 campaign will focus on advising people on what to do if things went wrong when shopping for Christmas or shopping in the January sales or if something you ordered didn’t deliver, how to return faulty goods and how to shop safely online.
