Response to Ofgem consultation on extending short-term interventions and adjusting the Market Stabilisation Charge calculation
Ofgem was consulting on whether to extend the Market Stabilisation Charge (MSC) by another six months. The MSC will reduce the ability of consumers to save money by switching if wholesale energy prices return to more normal levels. We argued that Ofgem should not implement this proposal.
