Citizens Advice support Ofgem’s minded-to decision to allow Octopus to claim the SoLR payment of £13.8 million, with the caveat that there is future adjustment to the claim once the estimated bills are finalised, and that any amounts claimed by Octopus from the administrator are taken into account.

We believe that Ofgem should take more urgent action on limiting the consumer credit balances the supplier can keep, to avoid increased socialised costs should the supplier fail.
