Citizens Advice response to PIP assessment second independent review [ 280 kb]

In 2016 the Department for Work and Pensions commissioned the second Independent Review of how the Personal Independence Payment (PIP) assessment is working.

Citizens Advice saw 136,000 people about PIP over the last year. Our submission to the Review is based on evidence from our advisers, data and client case studies. It highlights some of the issues we have identified with the current assessment process that we would like the Review to consider, as well as some suggestions on how they could be addressed.
