Prepayment meter cap should stop poorest households paying over the odds

The energy regulator Ofgem has today announced that the prepayment meter price cap will save typical prepayment customers around £80 a year when it comes into effect in April. The national charity Citizens Advice has welcomed the savings this will bring prepayment meter customers but has called for the government to cut bills for other loyal customers on standard tariffs.

Citizens Advice responds to DWP review of pensions auto-enrolment

Citizens Advice says it is good news that the Department for Work and Pensions’ (DWP) review of auto-enrolment will look at how self-employed people can be helped to save for their retirement, as well as whether people with multiple low income jobs falling below the auto-enrolment threshold are missing out on the opportunity to save.
